L’enfant est un être sociable, curieux et unique. Par conséquence, chaque enfant apprend à son rythme. Le fait qu’un enfant de 3 ans apprenne les couleurs ou les formes et qu’un autre enfant apprenne à couper ne signifie pas que celui qui a appris les couleurs est plus intelligent que l’autre. Cela signifie seulement qu’un enfant a dévéloppé son niveau cognitif et l’autre son niveau moteur.

Conseils pour enseigner aux enfants à faire de leur mieux à l’école:
1. Demandez à votre enfant de participer à une discussion en classe. L’une des clés principales de la motivation est la participation active des enfants à leur propre audience.
2. De nombreux enfants ont un besoin d’avoir du plaisir de façon active – en d’autres termes, ils ont besoin d’être bruyants et excités. Plutôt que d’éviter toujours ou supprimer ces besoins, il est important de concevoir une activité éducative qui les acomble ses besoins.
3. Rendre l’apprentissage visuel. Utiliser des dessins, des diagrammes, des images, des graphiques, des listes à puces, même des objets en trois dimensions pour aider les élèves à avoir l’idée d’une image.
4. Utilisez des émotions positives pour améliorer l’apprentissage et la motivation.
5. Etre énergique dans votre enseignement est un facteur de motivation en soi, afin d’améliorer l’apprentissage et l’attachement aux idées.
6. Les encourager qu’ils peuvent réussir.

Here are tips for parents and teachers on teaching children to do their best in school:
1. Have your child participate in class discussion. One of the major keys to motivation is the active involvement of children in their own hearing.
2. Many children have a need to have fun in active ways — in other words, they need to be noisy and excited. Rather than always avoiding or suppressing these needs, design an educational activity that fulfills them.
3. Make learning visual. Use drawings, diagrams, pictures, charts, graphs, bulleted lists, even three-dimensional objects you can bring to class to help students anchor the idea to an image.
4. Use positive emotions to enhance learning and motivation.
5. Remember that energy sells. Being energetic in your teaching is a motivating factor in itself, adding energy to the ideas you want to convey will further enhance learning and commitment to the ideas.
6. Convince them they can succeed, no matter what domestic concerns or current financial situation may be.
7. Arouse their curiosity. Present new lessons in a way that they would want to learn more.
8. Encourage self-expression.

Logan Randall is a twelve-year-old boy who has been attending the same school since kindergarten. Described by his own parents as willful and intelligent, he was doing quite well until he decided to join the soccer team and from there he found himself on a slippery slope.
Intensive practice sessions cut into his study time and teammates — who were not exactly the kind of friends any parent would approve of — often cooked up post-practice gimmicks that entailed trips to the mall. Soon, Logan’s academic performance on record was in the red.
